So I was approached by the lovely people at Photowall, who kindly offered to send me a canvas of my choice, and in return they asked that I would share an honest review with you guys, and for my wonderful readers, they are offering you a 20% off code! I definitely think that strategically placed artwork makes your house feel so much more like a home.
We have a stunning vintage backed poster of the universe in our lounge, that I adore, but I wanted something to spice up the dining room a little. The theme in that room is largely brown and orange, owing largely to the gorgeous brown fireplace that we have in there. Its a lovely, warm and cosy room, so I wanted to choose something that tied up with that theme.
When I went onto the website to pick out the design I wanted, I was completely overwhelmed with the amount of options they had. You like Star Wars/nature/typography/unicorns/cities…? You name it, they’ve probably got it! I also liked that you could filter the designs not only by category, but by room. The other great thing about Photowall is that you can pick and crop the design you like to exactly the dimensions that you want.
I narrowed down the designs that I liked and sent them to Mike for him to have a say on. But we ultimately decided on this gorgeous Madrid city map. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m obsessed with Spain. My grandparents lived there when I was younger, so it has a very special place in my heart, so it was the perfect choice.
It arrived a couple of days later by courier, and it was then that I realised that you had to assemble the canvas by hand. This is to minimise the chance of damage during transit, and to be honest, I quite like that, as it also means that the item requires less packaging, and therefore creates less waste. (I’m looking at you Amazon…)
The directions for assembly are very straightforward and everything you need is included, so with a little help from Michael, the canvas came to life!
The frame is super sturdy and the actual canvas is really great quality. The only thing I will mention is that my canvas ended up a little off centre, so just be super careful when lining up your art! – Though I don’t think anyone would really notice unless they really looked closely.
In all, I am really impressed with this company, and I am so excited to have been able to work with them. If you’re in the market for some gorgeous wall art, please do check them out, and remember to use the discount code photowallemilycampaign2017 to get 20% off your order.
Until next time,
