Baths are quite simply the most relaxing things in the world. There is nothing I like more than to run myself a nice warm bath at the end of a long day and just soak my troubles away!
Today I thought I would share with you my essentials for the perfect bath.
You can thank me later…
These bath oils are made by the lovely Amber Serene.
These oils are so nice, they smell divine, and they are so moisturising that I find I don’t need to apply anything after my bath, my skin feels amazingly soft after using these oils. They come in blue glass bottles, and are made with high quality ingredients which are vegan, and contain no chemicals or parabens. You can buy them online here. My absolute favourite scent is ‘Calm and Cheerful,’ which has notes of Ylang Ylang. I also really love the ‘Sunshine’ one for a nice zesty sent. These would make a fantastic Christmas gift that is a little different from your normal Boots bath set, you will also be helping support a smaller, personal business too, rather than a large faceless company. I definitely will be trying more of her products soon. It also helps that Amber is a really lovely person too! (Amber also runs yoga classes and yoga retreats)
The next item which I cannot have a bath without is a nice scented candle. TK maxx is my first stop whenever I’m searching for a deliciously scented candle as I find they have a great variety.
This one I have smells absolutely amazing, but I can’t find this company online!
If you fancy a real luxury candle, I would absolutely recommend Jo Malone candles. I got bought one for my birthday, and it is amazing. The scent I have is Pomegranate Noir. This one smells to me like a sophisticated men’s cologne.
I generally go between two options when I’m having a bath. Sometimes I just want to zen out and feel like I’m at a spa. Other times I like to listen to something that’ll make me think.
For the time I want to zen out, I love to listen to a Lianne La Havas playlist. Her voice is absolutely gorgeous. If I could only listen to one artist for the rest of my life, I’m pretty sure it would be her. Take a listen to her here. My personal favourite songs by here are ‘Unstoppable,’ and ‘Tokyo.’ But in all honesty, there isn’t a single song of hers that I don’ absolutely adore.
If I fancy listening to something that’ll make me think, I absolutely love The Minimalists podcast. They share such great insights into minimalism in a very easy to understand and laid back way. I think absolutely anyone and everyone could gain benefit from listening to them.
And that’s it! That is my holy trinity of things that make the best bath time ever.
Let me know what your favourite bath products are in the comments section below. I would love to know!
Until next time.
