August Favourites!

So it’s the end of August. (How?!)

This month has been an eventful and really exciting one! For the last couple of months my living arrangement has been a little up in the air, but 3 weeks ago, I found a flat that I’m going to be moving into in a couple of days, so I am super excited to get in and make it my own! I can’t wait to be independent and to prove to myself that I am able to create a lovely home and life for myself.

Of course I’ll be sharing decoration and other home type posts both on my blog and social media. I use Instagram mainly, so follow me there! (@emilygracebridger)

I only have a small amount of favourites this month. This is because I wouldn’t want to share something just to bump up my number of items in a blog post. Plus, I’ve been saving as much money as I can, and the money that I have spent has been on home things which I will share another time.

The Minimalist Podcast

I’ve been interested in minimalism for a little while now, I find it makes so much sense and lessens a lot of stress and anxiety (something I struggle with a lot!) The Minimalists, Ryan Nicodemus and Joshua Fields Milburn are the guys who run this podcast. I encourage you to take a listen and see what you think! (And before you ask, no they don’t just tell you to throw out all your stuff and live in out of a backpack.) it just makes you think about things a little differently and question everything you own. I also absolutely love the quote that they always share at the end of the podcast. ‘Love people, use things. Because the opposite never works.’ Take a listen and let me know what you think 🙂

100% pure Tea Tree oil

So, last month I mentioned that I was loving The Body Shop’s tea tree spot treatment gel. Whilst that is at really great product, I couldn’t help but wonder why I wasn’t using the pure oil? This stuff is much stronger and 100% natural! I apply it by putting a few drops on a cotton bud, and then dabbing it on the areas where I’m breaking out.

Burt’s Bees Lip Balm

This brand of lip balm has been a very long time favourite of mine! I love all of the flavours and I find that they don’t feel mega greasy on my lips. The plus side too, is that it’s really affordable. I wouldn’t use any other brand!

And that’s it from me for now 🙂 I’ll be back soon with plenty of new stuff from my new home!

Thank you for reading.

Until next time

Emily x
