New At The Drugstore: L’Oreal Pure Clay Masks

As you probably know, I bloody love a good face mask.

So when I saw L’Oreal came out with a new range of clay masks, I knew I had to get my hands on them.

They are in boots at the moment for an introductory price of £5, which is amazing value! (I’m not sure how much the full price will be)

In my local boots they had a display of these masks, accompanied by a handy little tool to help you decide which one is best suited to your skin.

From the test I figured that I was inbetween normal and oily for that day. (Which makes sense, it is coming up to that week! Haha)

Luckily I had enough Boots advantage points that I could get all three for free.. So that’s exactly what I did!

First off, let me just put it out there. They smell amazing! They all smell similar, it’s a fresh kind of scent which is lovely.

The packaging is gorgeous, I love that they are glass containers and the green lid makes them look much more expensive than they are.

All of the masks contain 3 different clays:

Kaolin: this absorbs impurities and excess sebum.

Montmorillonite: this clay is rich in minerals

Ghassoul: this one is highly concentrated in minerals and helps clarify the complexion.

The three masks in this line are:

Glow Mask: for dull skin.

The promise: It says that it will brighten and exfoliate. It contains red algae.

Detox mask: For normal skin.

The promise: this mask is supposed to detoxify and clarify. This mask has the addition of charcoal.

Purity mask: for oily skin.

The promise: this mask is meant to purify and mattify your skin. It also contains eucalyptus.

From left to right: detox mask, glow mask, purity mask.

I am super excited to give these masks a go! I also like the idea of using different masks for different parts of the face. For example if you get an oily T-zone but you have dull/dry skin on your cheeks, you could totally mix it up!

Make sure to get down to boots quick before the price of these go up. Let me know if you have tried it already and what you think!
